Because of my love of nature and the outdoors I
started out as a landscape photographer. My photographs have been
used in several magazines, calendars, and posters. After having
observed nature for so many years I felt that I wanted to duplicate
some of the beauty found in nature.
After going back to college
and receiving a degree in horticulture, I did further study in
landscape design at SIU and Missouri Botanical Garden.
Unlike nature, the client's
lifestyle, taste, and desires are my guide in designing a customized
landscape. Other considerations are the architecture of the home,
the climate, location, plant culture, foot traffic patterns, terrain,
views from important points, maintenance, budget and design principals.
My design service has been
used in creating landscape designs for municipal parks and for
commercial and residential customers.
