Frequently Asked Questions


Question:
Why should we get a custom design or computer design from you rather than having a nursery or landscaper draw a design?

Answer:
As a designer it is not necessary to make a profit on landscape material and plants or installation services. If you have a landscaper draw up a design they often need to sell their installation services and or plants. With a customized design you can purchase and install the plants yourself. You will know that this design was customized for you by a professional landscape designer/horticulturist. Considerable thought and time goes into your design.



Question:

Can I contact you about questions on a design or about your services?

Answer:
Yes, e-mail any questions you have to info@harmonylandscape.com. If you order a full design, I will contact you prior to beginning.

What type of payments do you accept?

Answer:

Checks, or Credit Card

Question:
If I do not have a plot plan can I send my own measurements and a drawing?

Answer:
Yes, you can, try to be as accurate as possible

Question:
Is a plot plan or measurements necessary for your design service?

Answer:
Plot plans or measurements are not necessary for computer imaging service, but they are very helpful. Plot plans and/or measurements are necessary for the Full Blueprint Design.

Question:
Can we suggest where we would like features: patios, decks, waterfeatures, beds, etc.?

Answer:
Yes, you can indicate this in the comment section on the questionnaire. You may also write on photographs or plot plans. If you do write on a photograph, please submit a duplicate unmarked photograph if possible.



Question:
How long does the design service take?

Answer:
Normally your design will be done in 2-3 weeks. If the design is complicated or during the busy season it may take longer to finish.

Question:
How do you prefer us to send our photographs?

Answer:
Regular mail or as an attachment in an e-mail. If you send your images via e-mail, send them as a .jpeg or .tiff file at no higher than 75dpi resolution. Because we want to provide you with a high quality image of your home, we prefer to work with your original photograph. We scan and print your photograph at a much higher resolution to give a better image back to you. Our plant images are of higher quality than some on-line services and we want to make your finished landscapes image as high a quality as possible.

Question:
If you work out of the Midwest how can you know what plants will work and are available in all areas of the United States?

Answer:
I am familiar with a great deal of plants and have databases that help me make the right selection for your zone, soil, and particular situation. If necessary your local nursery can help substitute similar plants. If I am not well versed in a particular zone, I will discuss this with the client before begenning.

Question:
Do you sell my name or any information about me?

Answer:
No. All information is private and confidential.

Question:
Can I purchase a gift certificate for your services?

Answer:
Yes a gift certificate for computer imaging is a great house-warming gift. Just call us with the necessary information and we will send the gift certificate either to you or the recipient.
